The South Worcestershire Councils (SWC) i.e. Malvern Hills District, Worcester City and Wychavon District are preparing a Traveller and Travelling Showpeople Site Allocations Development Plan Document that has to identify sufficient land for Traveller and Travelling Showpeople sites in order to meet the requirements of the recently adopted South Worcestershire Development Plan (SWDP17).
As part of this process, the SWC consulted on a Revised Preferred Options for a seven week period from 28 February to 18 April 2018. This document set out the SWC preferred sites and gave people an opportunity to comment on these. It also asked some questions about the types of planning policy we might need to have in place to guide the development of future Traveller and Travelling Showpeople sites. The Revised Preferred Options consultation was in line with Regulation 18 of The Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012.
