Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment (SHLAA) – January 2015 Update

The Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment (SHLAA) is a joint report produced by the three South Worcestershire Local Authorities of Malvern Hills District Council, Worcester City Council and Wychavon District Council.

This document represents the 5th edition of the SHLAA document, following annual updates. It effectively takes account of new and amended sites that were submitted since 2012.

The role of the SHLAA is to identify whether sites have potential for housing, assess the housing potential and determine when they are likely to be deliverable. The SHLAA has been prepared in tandem with the identification of potential housing allocations through the SWDP Preferred Options, Significant Changes and Proposed Submission documents.

Please note: The information included in this update shows a snapshot of the data captured for SHLAA sites submitted at a point in time. It should be noted that there maybe factual inaccuracies or omissions due to this early publication, in advance of a full report (fifth edition) published in March 2015. This document  will provide a comprehensive picture of all sites submitted.  Please also be aware that the Malvern Hills, Wychavon and Worcester City SHLAA maps should be viewed in conjunction with each other.
