Other Policy Documents

Supplementary Planning Documents (SPDs) – these are topic based policy documents produced to give more detail on the application of policy, either for specific sites or on specific subjects in the South Worcestershire Development Plan.

South Worcestershire Traveller and Travelling Showpeople Site Allocations Development Plan Document (DPD) – the Travellers and Travelling Showpeople Site Allocations DPD will set out the updated supply of sites and pitches to be provided to meet the needs of Travellers and Travelling Showpeople in the area over the coming years. This includes specific allocations for the initial period and broad areas beyond that.

Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) – the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) is a locally set charge (levy) that came in force on 6 April 2010 through the CIL regulations 2010 (as amended). The CIL is a charge that local authorities in England (known as “charging authorities”) can place on new development in their area. The money generated through the levy will contribute to the funding of infrastructure to support development growth in south Worcestershire. The South Worcestershire Councils of Malvern Hills, Worcester City and Wychavon District Council have adopted separate Community Infrastructure Levy Charging Schedules. Both Malvern Hills and Wychavon District Councils implemented CIL charging from Monday 5th June 2017 and Worcester City Council implemented charging from Monday 4th September 2017.

Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) and Local Development Scheme (LDS) – the Statement of Community Involvement sets out whom, how and when the three Councils will engage with in the preparation of planning policies and in deciding planning applications. The Local Development Scheme is a project management document which sets out the council priorities for producing planning policy documents over the coming three years.
