An important consideration of the proposed South Worcestershire Development Plan strategy and other complementary work is the substantial feedback we have received from local communities over the past few years.
This is based on the principles established in the 2004 Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act (as amended).
The South Worcestershire Joint Core Strategy (SWJCS), as was, has been underpinned by extensive consultation which has been ongoing since the beginning of the process back in 2006.
As a result of major changes to the planning system after the general election in 2010, the SWJCS process was subject to scrutiny and review, and subsequently rebranded and is now known as the South Worcestershire Development Plan (SWDP).
Other supporting planning documents are also produced to accompany the SWDP and are published for public consultation where required.
