Traveller and Travelling Showpeople Site Allocations DPD – Preferred Options 2016

Traveller and Travelling Showpeople Site Allocations DPD – Preferred Options (2016)

This consultation has now closed.

The South Worcestershire Councils (Malvern Hills District, Worcester City and Wychavon District) are preparing a Traveller and Travelling Showpeople Site Allocations Development Plan Document that that will identify sufficient land for Traveller and Travelling Showpeople sites in order to meet the requirements of the recently adopted South Worcestershire Development Plan (Policy SWDP 17).

As part of this process, the South Worcestershire Councils are consulting on Preferred Options for a six week period from 9:00am Monday 14th March to 5:00pm on Friday 25th April 2016 which has now extended to 5pm on Monday 9th May 2016. The document sets out the Councils preferred sites and gives people an opportunity to comment on these. It also asks some questions about the types of planning policy we might need to have in place to guide the development of future Traveller and Travelling Showpeople sites.  The Preferred Options consultation is in line with Regulation 18 of The Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012.
